Most of you, if not all, know that Reg Downer was Promoted to Glory earlier this week and his funeral service, more correctly called a celebration of life was held today.
I know you'll be praying for his family!
Reg was a strong supporter of youth ministry and that included the camping ministry of Camp Selkirk. We remember the words of Scripture which say: "the Lord delights in the death of His saints".

Celebration of life, indeed! Anyone who attended the service will remember it for a very long time. Not only was it apparent that Reg was a highly respected member of the Hamilton Police Service (we were wondering if there were any cops left on the street, there were so many at the service!), but Reg's life of serving Christ was very evident in the tributes, and in the message. The Gospel of Christ was proclaimed over and over, just as Reg would have wanted it. An amazing man, who is now resting with his Saviour.
