Established in 1948 by Colonel Joseph Acton, Camp Selkirk was the home to camping ministries in Southern Ontario. It was the site of spiritual, emotional and personal growth for many. Based on 124 acres this residential camp is remembered for many things, some of which are recorded here.

Lorne Barry I assume?
=)
Didn't Lynn mention that Sharon Jones (Dannock) is now an officer in Australia? See post: Camp Weddings. Could this be her?
Lorne Barry is in Australia?
Right it could be Sharon Dannock, but yes Lorne has been in Australia for quite a number of years now and married as well.
It's not me - Sharon - I am in Tasmania.
Hi Sharon - glad you found us. Who referred you to this site?
Fred, I have made comments a couple of times already...Lynn Baker and Mona Ouwendyk both sent me emails letting me know about the site. Its great to see all the memories! Even managed to mention the blog in one of my sermons recently :)
Sharon
I 've only just stumbled across this blog today - thank you for the memories! Some of those pictures though...
I am still in Brisbane, Australia - but I haven't been your mystery visitor. Sorry.
The photo from 1985 was my first year at music camp - and perhaps the best one of the lot. That was the beginning of music for me as something more than just something to do. And it all started at SMC!
Thank you again! Fantastic memories.
- Lorne Barry
